Official Congratulatory Statement

Hargeisa, Somaliland – 22 August 2026

The Commander-in-Chief of the Somaliland National Armed Forces, Brigadier General Nimcaan Yusuf Gaaxnuug, extends his warm congratulations and best wishes to Lieutenant Colonel Eng. Ahmed Ismail Ige on the successful completion of his studies at the National Defense University, Army Command and Staff College, Republic of China (Taiwan), where he graduated on 21 August 2026.

Lieutenant Colonel Eng. Ahmed Ismail Ige successfully completed advanced studies in military leadership, management, planning, and command, strengthening his professional knowledge and leadership capabilities.

The advanced training and education he has completed are expected to make a significant contribution to the strategic planning and decision-making capabilities of the Somaliland National Armed Forces, the enhancement of operational effectiveness, and the strengthening of professional leadership skills and command systems within the Armed Forces.

The Commander-in-Chief commends Lieutenant Colonel Eng. Ahmed Ismail Ige for this important academic and professional achievement and wishes him continued success in his service to the Somaliland National Armed Forces and the Republic of Somaliland.
